I ran out of time to do my blog-a-day post on a technical topic today, so I’m falling back to some family pictures. I noticed I didn’t have a good picture of Jonny or me, but here’s a few fun recent pictures of the rest of the family.

The “me” part is the well-known Father Effect. Father is the one with the camera, so Father never shows up in the pictures.
One might hope that will change as everyone now has a camera in his/her phone, but I’d have no great expectation of it. Fathers just aren’t as photogenic as the rest of the family.
Egad,
Agreed. Us dads tend to have faces made for radio, so to speak…
Tiff sometimes gets pictures of me, but she’s more often around the boys. And they’re funnier.

The next generation of fathers will be coming out of the high-angle-selfie culture. So I suspect things will change even if they are still the ones taking the pictures of their kids. (Just not a good change.)
It starts with sunfish and leads to a life long addiction. I like that you get them started early 🙂
