Hey guys, I finally got the update blog setup over on the Altius Space Machines site. The site still needs a lot of work, but I’ve always been one to try and put content over style. There’s a post there with the details I was promising about our first contract.

Jonathan Goff is a space technologist, inventor, and serial space entrepreneur who created the Selenian Boondocks blog. Jon was a co-founder of Masten Space Systems, and is the founder and CEO of Altius Space Machines, a space robotics startup in Broomfield, CO. His family includes his wife, Tiffany, and five boys: Jarom (deceased), Jonathan, James, Peter, and Andrew.
Jon has a BS in Manufacturing Engineering (1999) and an MS in Mechanical Engineering (2007) from Brigham Young University, and served an LDS proselytizing mission in Olongapo, Philippines from 2000-2002.

Congrats, good to see you have your head screwed on right about starting a company: first you find revenue. I have too many friends who think a heavy burn rate is a good thing.

Heh, the difference between genius and not having much of a choice is often measured in initial bank account balances… 🙂
Seriously though, yeah we’ve only been trying for a few months to line up contracts, and we’ve already signed one and have some serious nibbles on a few more. But the key is, until we actually are in a position to raise investment money, we’re either brining in revenue or starving. Helps to keep the mind focused… 🙂
