Uh Oh…There Goes The Neighborhood
Dec 31st, 2006 by Jonathan Goff
So, I’m sitting on the couch with Baby James. Little Jonny walks in, turns on the computer and pulls out a chair. Intrigued, I decide to watch. He then proceeds to slide the keyboard out, and pushes the Esc button at just the right moment to cut out of the memory test (which for some reason runs really slow three times in a row on our computer if you don’t cut out of it). Amused, I decide to watch a little longer. When the Windows log-on screen came up, he moved the mouse over my name, pressed the button and logged me in…

…I’m not sure wether to be surprised, distrubed, proud, or worried. Probably a little of all of them. One thing’s for certain though. This kid’s going to end up being a total geek just like his mom and dad. There’s no hope for him. He has the “knack”.
Oh, and in case you see any blog posts titled “I want my Binky” or “Baby James Barfied on Mr Bear” or some such, you know who to blame now…
the slow memory test is a setting in BIOS screen
“full startup test” or something like that.
but yeah, i have seen that kind of stuff happen too, time to create a separate rights-limited account for him and put yours under password
